Sharing a Mission and Shining a Light
As part of my work with the National Kidney Foundation, I have the privilege of interviewing and writing about people connected to this cause. And I say privilege, because I meet some darn impressive people. Case in point, two go-getter medical students, Saumith and Pavan (20 and 19 years old respectively). This dynamic duo is putting their brains on kidney disease. In between biology, neuroscience, and global studies, they definitely don’t have extra hours to fill. Even so, they carved time to start a local chapter of Kidney Disease Screening and Prevention. Impressive work. I see bright futures ahead for these two, as they shine a hopeful light to improve the kidney health of millions of Americans.
